member of saudi royal family supposedly buying hadid prop to develop

In an update to a previous news item, Hadid now claims in a declaration filed yesterday in the Bankruptcy Court that a member of the Saudi Royal Family has signed an agreement to buy the Royalton properties (through a shell LLC) if allowed by the Bankruptcy Court for purposes of development. Hadid, however, refused to name the actual Saudi Royal Family member (or his company) in court papers, stating only that the buyer is a “well known, household name[] in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” and that the Royal Family Member was interested “so long as his identity . . . could be kept confidential.”

According to Hadid:

”Because [the Saudi Royal Family Member is] so well known in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, if someone learns the name of [his]company, then they will, in turn known the name of the member of the Royal Family who is behind that company [using Pacific Green Vista, LLC as a shell]. I have reason to believe this . . . royal family member owner will pull out of the [sales agreement] if their identity is made known to the public. I believe and fear that this buyer’s public image might be tarnished and be subject to ridicule by Mr. Richards, Hillsides Against Hadid, and others . . . who will want to intimidate the buyer into withdrawing support for any development of the Property.”
